So I've managed to get a 1.02D server runnig, I've installed the MuWeb 0.8 and the admin area 10x to the nice forum U have hire

. The thing is that I can't connect from the client, the server just shows a message logout:{the IP am trying to conect from}. I've made a luncher with the luncherbuilder but it is pretty much the same. I know that on deffault port is 44405 and on CS it says "Server listen in prot 44405", but the joinserver finds a server with {MY IP}:55901. One other thing, am a little bit confised about all this versions but the MuWeb finds the version to be 1.02K.
So can somebody suggest what the problem could be? Is it the port or thats normal, should I download a 1.02K client or it should work fine with a 1.02D
PS. Not that I'm prizeing you, but this forum had the most helpful information I could find in the web(after searching for a few days) about making a mu server. Nice job <img src=

the problem with mu web it's that the default version is 1.02k so don't worry about that cuz it chan be changed from admin area

and with the client problem... can u make some screshots

and do you have router ore dinamic IP ?

I've deleted my client and started downloading a new one. The thing i most hate about mu is the chinese messagese i get, well i've noteced that on most clients there is a ip set on the main, and when i edit the ip with hex editor it just starts and nothing, just the DL weaveng on the hill and all the other animation on the background.It seems all the clients I download are already set on some other server, and even if i place a luncher they still try to connect to the initial server or just sais Disconected on the server and there isn't even a trace from somebody trying to connect in the gameserver log, I'll make sreenshots on evry step later todey when the client is downloaded. About the router - yes I use router but, I'm trying to get a local server (192.168.2.102) for now, so the router is not a problem at the moment

use FREE MG Launcher maybe it will work (it's for 1.02d and 1.0M)

Ok I've managed to get it runing for not then a minute and it was not what I wanted, i'm not sure if it's hire the place to ask, but I'll ask. I wanted a server with the new maps(Kantru) and items. I guess it's the seasen 2 version. I've downloaded the season 2 server files, but it has 5-6 backup files. So hire are my questions:
1. What is the difference in the databese restore for season 2, couse there is one, I've downloaded it from different places and I get the same error 3038 that the file is not a valid backup device name
2. I am getting confused about all this version 1.02b,d,k,n,m,q etc. not to mension the older ones. The things are similar with the patches, it's even worse
3. Do the client and the server have to be the same version 1.02b=>1.02b or I can connect with different clients 1.02d=>1.02n
I'm sorry about all the questions but it's really hard to find useful information about making mu server

1. the database is allot different cuz in season 2 there are new items, monsters, NPC's events etc that use the db and maybe some db's for season 2 may require sql 2005 dunno for sure.

2. don't understand what ur trying to say

3. you can connect with different versions if the number is the same but the letter is diefferent

1.02 b > 1.02 c but with diferent mains.

for example if you put the 1.0L main in the 1.0M client then the client will be 1.0L

2. Yes, my bad, I guess wanted to ask if there is a version with the new maps and items, or is it just season 2

well it depends there are 1.02 versions with season 2 and without cuz you can add but it's very hard

Ok so I finally got Season 2 server running, but now I have the same problem I can't find a good luncher, I've tried almost everything I found on the net, but it just connects me to the server it was for, changeing the IP doesn't seem to have any effect, so I guess it is written somewhere in the main.exe. Tried to edit it with hexeditor but after trying to start it, it crashes
Does somebody know a working luncher, or some kind of editor or main builder or whatever that could work? Pls help cuz I'm running out of options <img src=

But I noticed that the MuWeb0.8 (which I made from the Dark Angel's guide) isn't working - "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:\appserv\www\includes\muweb.php on line 44"

the gs seems to be working then just edith the main to be with your IP if the launcher builder isn't working

and for web: wich guide did you use ? the one with appserv ore easy php ?

I used the appserv. Tried to edit the main but it isn't working and i'm not sure if i'm editing the right part, cous it still connects to the initial server

Yeah lol, Season II has more DB's so it needs another ODBC

Well finally I've got it runnig with 2 DBs, even the site is ok, but... the biggest problem is that season 2 is just too heavy. my sempron 2500+@1.7 and 512 DDR400 ram are just not enough and when there are a little bit more mobs then usual or some good animated spell is cast it starts lagging real good. Now I'm considering buying another 512 ddr400 A-Data and with little luck get it running on dual channel. I'll write what happend. Anyway 10x for the help Dark Angel

wow u got running a season 2 server with only 512 RAM !!
u need at least 1 gb RAM if you don't want to have problems with lag.
